Keeping a routine and figuring out new habits during lock down isn't easy. I've been acting chaotically and desperately. This is what helped me to feel better during the self-isolation time during Covid-19 and help me to stay sane.

If you feel a bit like me I just want to give you some tips that helped me to feel better during this weird time.

I read a lot of blog posts and attended lots of seminars during these weeks. I felt that the time is passing too fast, that I'm not doing enough. I've been acting chaotically and desperately trying to change the night into the day to get some more hours of work. Being a freelancer specially now is challenging and overwhelming.

Everyone is saying about making a new routine. Yeah I feel it's totally needed but as a creative person I want to have the liberty to create when I have a flow. So figure out your new routine but don't stick to it too much!

Staying in contact with friends and clients help to focus on the things after the lockdown but try to squeeze all the video chats after the working hours.

Let go your emotions, if you want to cry do it. It's hard time for everyone and we are only humans.

Distract your mind with some creative work: you don't have to be a pro! Dance, sing, paint or whatever else it comes to your mind. I take one photo a day and it makes me feel good!

Art is a perfect therapy!

Don't put too much pressure on you! Even if you have all the time in the world it's hard to learn so many new things, read all the books you wanted and do all that stuff you never had time for. Remember that the time is our friend not enemy (yeah, took me a long time to understand it)

• Limit the time that you spend on social media, use it as a smart tool, don't jump to every live event. Virtual life became too chaotic ultimately.

Let yourself rest and recharge your batteries! Resting not necessarily means stopping ;) My kind of relaxation and meditation is a movement, is creating new projects. Before I understood that stopping means action I felt so guilty that I don't meditate or reflect on a current situation. Now I know that all my work reflects my thoughts and that for me stopping means doing.

Don't stress about the things you can't control! The whole world is on hold, we are all in the same situation. We don't know what will happen when the lock down is over. So let's take control on the things we can change. Let's take an action and use this time wise. Without rush, but trying to figure out the new ways of work. As you know being a photographer is not really a virtual work ;) I'm still searching for new ways of expanding my business. But I try to keep calm.

I have few creative buddies.

With one of my friends everyday in the morning we brainstorm and we exchange a plan for that day, in the evening we say what we did and we congratulate eachother. It helps me stay focus and sane during the self-isolation time. Feels good really!

With another friend we send each other photos, we stimulate our creativity. Some of the pics are just a view of the sky or trees, other are our personal quarantine art projects. We just talking images instead of words.

With another friend we record a video diary and stimulate eachother artistically. We just have finished a cool art project and we did together a virtaul photoshoot.

Lately I just applied to a stay-at-home photography platform and they paired me with great photographer from Berlin.

We talk with photos! Amazing feeling!

Last but not least, spend this time with your family and friends.

The world is changing and everyone feels it. The distance became a problem, the world is divided and closed again. I felt so far away from my family, that was so frustrating. Now I try to video chat my sister and her kids and my parents everyday even for a short moment. I feel them so close and it's so needed.

Together but alone, supporting each other and waiting for new word.

Let me know if I missed anything!

I'm so curious how you deal with this situation.

In times of crisis, it is of utmost importance to keep one’s head.
